Many of our Indiana Sailing Camps offer Spring Sailing Programs, Activities, Workshops & Classes starting in April, 2024.
Be sure to check the "Year-Round Programs and Other Camp Info" headings of each camp listing for specifics, or give any Sailing Camp you're interested in a call to check on Spring dates, times and availability.
Many of our Sailing Camps will be hosting Spring Reunions for their previous campers, and Spring Open Houses for interested new campers and families. Each camp is different, and some offer activities for the entire family.

Some Top Indiana Sailing Camps offer rigorous daily sailing training and lots of intensive sailing experience. Other great Indiana Camps offer sailing as an elective or recreational activity with much less training and intensity.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: YMCA Camp Carson is an overnight summer camp providing safe, fun, inclusive, healthy, & challenging camp experiences for youth since 1940.

Sailing, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Wilderness/Nature, Horses/Equestrian, Fine Arts/Crafts, Music/Band, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and more.

CAMP FACILITIES: YMCA Camp Carson is on 300 acres of property, with over 7 miles of trails, that are utilized for various activities (horseback, dirt bikes, mountain bikes and hiking). However, the core camp activities are located in the heart of camp. This includes the Camper Cabins, Dining Hall, a staffed Healthcare facility, new Boathouse, and Lodge. Campers sleep in 12 new, modern cabins that still have a rustic and homey feel of camp. Wrangler and Dirt Bike campers sleep in air conditioned yurts.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Carson has been serving young people through overnight summer camp programs since 1940.
We are accredited through the American Camp Association.
We invite you to join campers and staff from around the country and around the world. Build friendships, take on challenges and leave ready to accomplish any goal you set your mind to. Enjoy sliding down our water ziplines, riding a horse or dirt bike, getting creative at the pottery studio, hitting the bullseye at archery, and more.
Our activities and facilities will wow you, but the friendships and experiences will forever change you.
We offer scholarships, financial assistance, Foster Care scholarships, as well as two weeks of camp especially for kids from Military families.

Our Wrangler horse camp offers an exciting opportunity for horse-lovers to spend a week immersed in riding and taking care of horses.
We offer a first year Dirt Bike overnight camp program - a secure and fun way for kids to learn about dirt bikes and how to ride safely.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor in Training - CITs spend two weeks learning techniques of caring for and encouraging younger campers as well as exposure to the counselor activity responsibilities.
Leader in Training - LITs spend some of their time participating in thoughtfully designed activities that foster growth in their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Service Corps volunteers - The Service Corps volunteers assist with and lead a variety of activities throughout the camp that are essential to our success in providing quality experiences for our campers.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: It is our desire to make camp financially accessible to ALL families. Through the commitment of our board members and many other volunteers, funds are raised each year to provide a camp experience to families who qualify.
We also offer Foster Care Scholarships for children in foster care.
Our Operation Military Support program is available to kids from Military Families at a significantly reduced rate, and full scholarships are available.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): YMCA Camp Carson offers a weekend of camp for the whole family on Labor Day weekend. Come as a single family unit or create your own mini family-reunion, or maybe recruit your friends and neighbors to come along for a fun, relaxing weekend. Zip-lining to archery, mud-hikes to mountain biking, horseshoes to tea and a good book on the porch, we have something for everyone.
